Thank you for visiting my blog!

I’m a History undergraduate going into my second year at the University of Bristol. The rest of the time I live and work in London, so home and away, I’m a city girl.

As an aspiring journalist I have set up a student focused blog to encompass all aspects of student life – what goes on, what we think and how we deal with things. My blog is not just aimed at students, and the topics I choose to focus on are largely varied from social media and politics to eating well and budgeting.

I have a variety of hobbies from traveling to cooking, but my main passion is writing. I have listed my past and current work experience below, and I am keen to get as much experience as possible, so if you have any information please get in contact. Similarly, if you have any student offers, products or deals please let me know, as I try to keep other students informed about the best deals through my twitter account.

  1. I’m not sure if it was intentional or not but it made me giggle when you said “I have a variety of hobbits” because it made me think of you as Gandalf with his merry band of Frodo, Samwise, Merry and Pippin….anyway, enough LOTR nonsense.

You followed me on twitter so here I am having a look. I remember my uni days fondly although I didn’t pay quite as much as you did. I went to UEA in Norwich and it was lovely.
One thing that would be nice to know is your name? Perhaps a photo too? It wouold be nice to put a name and face together 🙂

Lovely posts you have here, I’ll definitely be checking back to see what else you’ve got going on.

  2. Dear Samantha,

Thank you for your kind comment! And more importantly for pointing out that awful mistake – it definitely was not intentional, but I’m glad it made you laugh!
I have thought about posting a photo or I suppose revealing my identity more, but at the moment I want to try and establish myself as an objective student writer; after all appearances often alter judgement – I’d rather broaden the scope for potential readers by writing as a general student.
If popularity increases or the opposite – if people become uninterested because they don’t know who I am, then I will review whether or not to ‘reveal’ myself – nowhere near as exciting as that word indicates though!
Thank you again for your comments, if you have any more feedback then please let me know, it is always much appreciated.

    Many thanks,
